More than 200 school and district administrators gathered in Atlanta this past weekend, coming from schools across the nation facing different issues, celebrating different successes, and working with students from different backgrounds. But they all had something in common: a desire to implement long-term change in their district to maximize student achievement.
At Leadership Academy—an annual event hosted by the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE)—education leaders from 57 districts attended sessions, listened to advice from thought leaders during keynote presentations, and met other administrators with whom they could build relationships and share insights. Georgia, Illinois, and California were the top three states represented.
