Course Options for Every 
Proficiency and Grade Level

Newcomer

For multilingual learners in grades 4–12 who are newcomers or in late beginning proficiency levels, English 3D's Language Launch courses build on their strengths for rapid acquisition of social and academic language. 

Language Launch Volume 1 and Volume 2: 

  • Provide explicit instruction in the four domains: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. 
  • Focus on critical language functions, features, and academic vocabulary. 
  • Use multimodal activities focused on topics that build the language students need to navigate school, their communities, and content area topics.

Grades K–3

English 3D for Grades K-3 provides research-based ELD instruction for our youngest multilingual learners. The curriculum: 

  • is flexible and can be implemented as a push-in or pull-out model, or as a whole class rotation in a core ELA class. 
  • provides clear, straightforward materials that can be easily implemented by new and experienced teachers.
  • includes differentiated support for earlier proficiency levels.
